Barker wins fourth world title

The remarkable Elinor Barker surprised everyone, including herself, when she won her fourth UCI World Track Cycling title in the Points race in in Pruszkow.
The 24-year-old from Cardiff launched her attack with two laps of the 40 remaining and, after a crash wiped out several riders behind, held off Holland’s Kirsten Wild to take the rainbow jersey. It was her fourth world title, but the first in this event.
She went n to win silver with the British Team Pursuit team the next day.
