Triple Crown glory at last!

Rob Cole

A mighty 2-0 win over the Irish at Llanelli’s Stradey Park earned Welsh rugby its first Triple Crown on Saturday, 11 March. The only score of the game came in the shape of a try from Newport’s Bert Gould, who was playing alongside his brother Arthur in the centre. Wales had beaten England 12-11 in Cardiff and then won 9-0 in Edinburgh against the Scots.
