Silver follows global gold for Colin Jackson
Colin Jackson struck gold for the first time at a major championships when he captured the IAAF World Junior 110H title in Athens on 18 July, 1986. He set a time of 13.44 sec and then flew straight to Edinburgh to take part in the Commonwealth Games. He went even quicker in Scotland, taking the silver medal in a time of 13.42 sec behind Canada’s Mark McKoy.
