Celtic Manor holds Ryder Cup

On 1 October, 2010, the Ryder Cup came to Wales for the first time. The heavens opened and there was a grave danger that the first day four at the Celtic Manor Resort would be washed out. There was enough time for a few holes at the end of the first day and Europe went on to win 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 under Colin Montgomerie’s captaincy.
