It was Fourth Division Wrexham v the champions of England in the FA Cup 3rd Round at The Racecourse on 4 January, 1992. Could the Welsh minnows gun down Arsenal? Surely not! More than 13,000 fans packed into Wrexham’s home ground and witnessed one of the great giant-killing acts in the history of the FA Cup as the home side came out on top 2-1 thanks to goals from Mickey Thomas and Steve Watkin after the Gunners had taken the lead.
