Ludlow leads from the front as Arsenal take Europe by storm
Welsh women’s footballing superstar Jayne Ludlow led the Arsenal Ladies side to their first Uefa Women’s Cup title on Sunday, 29 April, 2007. After a 1-0 home win, the North London club went to northern Sweden and took the title after a 0-0 second leg. Arsenal became the fourth team to lift the European crown, and the first from outside Germany and Sweden.
