Non Evans is another of Wales’ remarkable all-rounders. She competed internationally for Wales in four different sports – rugby union, judo, weightlifting and freestyle wrestling. She also took part in a series of Gladiators!
She was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to sport.

She won 87 caps for the Welsh women’s rugby team between 1996-2010 and played at the 2010 World Cup. That same year she made history by becoming the first person to represent Wales in three different sports at the Commonwealth Games. Having taken part in judo and weightlifting in Manchester in 2002, she was in the wrestling team in Delhi in 2010.

She won silver medals at both the 1992 and 1996 Commonwealth Judo Championships and finished 9th in the under 63 kg class at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, where she became the first woman to compete in two sports at the same Games.

In 2010, she placed 2nd in the under-59 kg class at the British Wrestling Championships and earned selection for the Welsh team for Delhi. In 2012, she was a BBC commentator at the London Olympic weightlifting and wrestling events.
